Trauma Informed Care

Program Materials

Introduction

Whether you're a counselor, a ministry leader, a coach, or simply someone who wants to show up more compassionately for others—Trauma Informed Care (TIC) is for you.

Trauma isn’t just what happened. It’s the invisible wounds, the adaptations made for survival, the ways people carry their pain long after the moment has passed. And the truth is—trauma is far more common than most of us realize.

In every room, every community, and every conversation, there are stories untold. Trauma-informed care invites us to listen differently. It’s a framework that shifts the question from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”—and even further to “What’s possible now?”

These Trauma Informed Care materials and courses are to help you learn how to recognize the signs of trauma, understand its impact on the brain and body, and respond in ways that create safety, dignity, and healing. You’re invited to reflect on your own presence, practices, and blind spots—because being trauma-informed isn’t just a skill. It’s a posture of humility, awareness, and deep care.

Let’s begin.
